Wispr Flow is an app I didn't know I needed until I got it. As you probably know, I am not the best when it comes to writing and grammar. Sometimes I have to rewrite entire sentences because I don't know how to spell one word. But Wispr Flow fixes this.
All I have to do is hold down a button and talk to my Mac. The second I let go of it, what I just said appears as text because it's powered by generative AI; it has reasoning so it can think, "Hey that word makes no sense,” but it can use context to figure out what I actually meant. Most of the time I don't even think about reading it because I know it's going to be correct.
In fact, I was able to write the two paragraphs above in under two minutes just by using Wispr Flow.
Being able to hold down the function key on Mac and just talk to my monitor is wonderful. There's probably a ton of features that Wispr Flow has that I'm not aware of yet, but to be honest, I just need a dictation app that just works. We can all agree that built-in dictation on iOS and macOS sucks. It's horrible. It's horrible with names, and punctuation doesn't even exist, and just overall it's sloppy.
Now that I have Wispr Flow on my Mac, I feel like I'm going to start writing a lot more, so expect more blog posts from me. For the next 15 days, I will use it on my Mac mini and iPhone and tell what I think.
I know this blog post was rushed a little bit. If you want to try Wispr Flow, you can get a one-month pro trial for free using my link.
