Head of Android at Google says the company has plans to combine its desktop operating system, ChromeOS, with its mobile operating system, Android.

The president of Google’s Android ecosystem, Sameer Samat, told TechRadar that “we’re going to be combining Chrome OS and Android into a single platform”. Sameer also said that he is “interested in how people are using their laptops these days”.

It’s been confirmed yet by Google if they are going to combine Android and Chrome OS.

Based on previous updates, this might happen. Android already has a “Desktop Mode” and resizable windows with support for external displays.

Google bringing its two operating systems together sounds awesome. Bringing the power of a desktop to your phone, while being able to run apps from the Play Store on your desktop, just like macOS with the App Store.
