Microsoft is replacing the Blue Screen of Death
Say hello to the Black Screen of Death

After 40 years of the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) Microsoft is Replacing it with the new Black of Screen of Death.

Microsoft has used the Blue Screen of Death for 40 years and this year they changed it from a Blue Screen with a :( and a QR code to a more simple Black Screen and White text.
“This is really an attempt on clarity and providing better information and allowing us and customers to really get to what the core of the issue is so we can fix it faster,” says David Weston, vice president of enterprise and OS security at Microsoft, in an interview with The Verge. “Part of it just cleaner information on what exactly went wrong, where it’s Windows versus a component.”

The new Blue Screen of Death is said to come out “Later this Summer”.
Microsoft will also release “Quick Machine Recovery” tool which is designed to restore machines that can’t boot.
