YouTube prepares for a “minor” crackdown on AI.
Will it be a “minor” crackdown?

YouTube says it is updating its policies to crackdown on AI content.
On July 15th, YouTube will update its YPP (YouTube Partner Program) Monetization Policies of what type of content will turn a profit.
With AI on the rise, YouTube is being flooded with AI videos and shorts. One of the most common ones are AI voiceovers. Some channels are filled with fake music made by AI and have millions of subscribers, and some fake AI videos get millions of views.
While YouTube says this is a minor update, the reality is that allowing AI-made content to generate a profit could damage YouTube’s reputation.
