We’ve all been there you have a docker container you need to assess on the go or you just want to keep your self safe and secure online, a VPN is the best option.

Now it’s pretty easy to download a free VPN from the App Store but a paid one Like Nord VPN or PIA is always the better option, but remember how you wanted to access that docker container from anywhere in the world. A VPN like PIA or Nord won’t do that, you need to self host one witch sounds scary but it really isn’t.
To setup a home VPN can be done in under 10 minutes, if you do it right.
For me I used Tailscale, I installed it on my Raspberry PI and on my iPhone (my Mac and Windows PC are both desktops and stay at my house) I set up my PI as a exit node and boom it works I can have a secure tunnel to my house anywhere.
The set up was nice and easy all I had to do was run 2 commands in the terminal on my pi, download Tailscale form the App Store and sign in, witch was extremely easy because Tailscale supports Apple, Google, Microsoft, GitHub and a passkey for login.
After hitting a few buttons next it you know it works!
